Updates

North Carolina Or Bust
(July 15th to July 18th)

Hi Family! Our day started at 5:30am at the old Gibson's parking lot as we set out for Denver at around 6:00 am early Tuesday morning. It was good to reunite with Lukas and Jordan Perez again. Special thanks to Adam and Jodi Woodden for their efforts in helping out with the drive to DIA and also to John Tabor and his crew of merry men for picking up our vehicles for safe keeping in Colorado Springs.

As you can see DIA was a little congested but then again when is outreach ever not congested.

Baggage Claim at the airport in NC...

Our travel time went pretty smoothly and we received a warm welcome from Jordan Tabor and Mark Dill both of whom have children joining our team. After loading the trailer and two 15 seater vans, we settled into our normal routine of McDonalds burgers, fries and drinks to traditionally kick off our outreach at 11:30pm Tuesday night NC time. A short hour drive brought us to our destination and ultimately our Bootcamp facility. There is much thanks and praise to God for this facility as it has superceded any of our expectations and Pastor Rob is elated that we are here.

It was alot of fun getting to meet the rest of our team. Kara Dekker (Austin,TX) and Alli Major (Steamboat Springs, CO)joined us in Montrose and flew with us to NC. We were met by Anna Tabor, Rachel Tabor (Charlotte, NC), Jonathan Dill and Sarah Dill (Jacksonville, FL) at the church the night we got in, and Kelsey Johnson ( King George, VA) joined us the day after we arrived. We also had the honour of celebrating Kelsey's 14th Birthday that evening.

BOOTCAMP

The first day of bootcamp started with worship and Kathleen Tabor taught a little out of the book "The Shack" and then transitioned to the story of "Joseph" from the bible. Our teaching time ended with a review of the ground rules.

We are on our third day of bootcamp and so far things are going really well. This Sunday Kathleen and David Tabor will be sharing here at the church where we are staying and the worship team will be doing the worship. Please be praying for the rest of our bootcamp and outreach as we believe God is using this time to prepare us for "The Call".

SATURDAY, July 19th

Today started with breakfast at 7:30am in the morning. The rest of our morning consisted of worship, dance practice and work duties. We had the afternoon off, spending it at the mall. After the mall, it was back to the church for a "Chef salad" dinner. The dinner clean-up crew got busy cleaning up and the rest of us settled in for hot showers and a movie. Today was pretty relaxing to say the least, and we as leadership were pretty impressed with our team and the orderly fashion with which they conducted themselves.

SUNDAY, July 20th

Again, another early start for us with the breakfast-prep crew up and ready preparing breakfast for the team at 6:45am. Sausages, pancakes and muffins was the start to our day thanks to Luke Weaver and his great great great Grandmothers pancake recipe ( I think...maybe not). Anyway, it turned out to be a pretty busy morning as we had to get all our stuff packed and put away to get ready for Sunday service. Again, our team rose to the occasion working hastily to make sure that things were ready.

Geoff and the worship team led worship and David got to speak about SRFM and the various ministries that are involved under SRFM. Kathleen spoke to the congregation about the US and how we as a nation have turned into a" nation of missionaries" instead of a "missionary sending nation" which we once were. She ended her message with a charge to the congregation, commissioning them to enter into their mission field, which for all of us in this nation is beyond our front door step. It was a rousing message, with an encouraging response from the congregation as well as the Pastor affirming what Kathleen had spoken.

After the service lunch was served and we had the afternoon off to have naps, rest up and recuperate from our busy week. Now for those in Montrose that still remember it, "Golden Corral" is alive and well in Monroe NC. We had dinner at "Golden Corral" and I think for some if not most of us, it was the highlight of our week, especially for dinner clean-up as they didn't have to clean up after dinner (Thank You Lord)!!!

MONDAY, July 21st

As you may or may not know, our team has been divided into 4 flock groups. Geoff and Megan Ila oversee their group with Michael Barrow as the Group leader and Jason Cooper, Ethan Lewko and Lukas Perez forming Group 1. Charity Freeland heads up Group 2 with Deanna Allen, Kara Dekker, Sarah Dill, Leann Hampton, Teira Ila, Alli Major, and Anna Tabor. Luke and Julie Weaver oversee their group with Nathaniel Lewko as the Group leader and Jordan Perez, Daniel Lewko, Jonathan Dill and Dustin Cooper forming group 3. Last but not least is Kathy Weaver heading up group 4 with Laura Freeland, Jamie Ila, Rachel Tabor, Rachel Lords, Ashley Martinez, Charity Mervyn and Kelsey Johnson.

Our day started with a cereal and bagel breakfast. After the breakfast clean-up crew were done cleaning we had a rather intimate time of worship. Geoff really sensed that there needed to be a time of real reverence before the Lord and so the team responded by removing their shoes and being on their faces before the Lord. Our teaching time moved right along with our worship time as Kathleen taught on the "Deaf and Dumb Spirit". The processing times in our flock groups afterwards were phenomenal as God began to work His conviction into the hearts of each individual member of our team. (Parents, please take the opportunity to sit down with your kids after outreach and discuss what God has done, because you will find that they are not going to be the same kids you sent on outreach) The worship and teaching times have provoked alot of responses with the young people confessing openly about their lack of walking in Gods will when they are home amongst their peers. All in all today was full and complete.

TUESDAY, July 22nd

Ted McKenzie
Ted McKenzie

Today, we experienced an awesome, powerful move of the Holy Spirit. There is no one on this team that can truthfully say "God did not move in my life today". Our guest speaker was Ted McKenzie (Pictured above) who is of mixed heritage. His father is from the US and his mother is originally from Lebanon. Ted works with YWAM Lebanon and is a very good friend of Taylor and Marie Perez. The Perezes knew that he was passing through NC and referred him to the Tabors and ultimately but more importantly by God's divine plan he was able to speak at our teaching time today. All I can say is man what a blessing from the Lord Ted is.

God had specifically laid on Ted's heart, that he was to commission, appoint and anoint each of us on the team as God's Priest's and God's King's. After laying the foundation of Gods plan for us Ted began to minister to us through the Holy Spirit. For some of us on the team this was a first time experience but the presence of God brought order and a naturalness that quickly quelled any questions that might have been in our hearts and minds. God's Spirit moved "POWERFULLY" through Ted as he began to pray over each person speaking words of knowledge, prophecies and Gods truth. We literally spent almost two and a half hours in the presence of God.

After a quick dinner of tacos and burritos the team bundled into the vans and took off for a local church in Charlotte called "Morning Star" who are hosting a revival meetings. I'm sure there will be a few stories from that experience when they get back at midnight or somewhere thereabouts.

WEDNESDAY, July 23rd

Today started at 9am. There were definitely some of us who were dragging from last nights event. Dustin Cooper had an awesome experience of healing at the revival service last night which I'm sure he'll share with his parents over the phone sometime soon. Other than that our worship time this morning consisted of going before the Lord and hearing His voice. God spoke to various ones of us reminding us that we were set apart, for His purposes alone. Sarah Dill received Psalm 23 which basically gives an outline of what it means to be a "Levite". There were several others that received scriptures which reiterated what had happened yesterday in our time with Ted McKenzie. After our worship time Charity Freeland spoke on "Trustworthiness" sharing some very crucial truth's out of the book of Matthew. Charity took us through parts of her life that God had worked on, especially the trauma through her accident, and how God trusted her to carry the pain she went through in order to bring life to others in a similar situation today. For those of you that know Charity, you will agree that she is most definitely God's gift to us as a body.

Charity's teaching time.

After Charity taught we had lunch and because of getting home late the previous night we settled down for some much needed rest. The team seemed a tad lethargic in dance practice but we managed through and got stuck into our work duties. After work duties it was time to get ready for our shindig with the church congregation. Chili Dogs and chips were served with ice cold lemonade, and iced tea for dinner, with a whole lot of fellowship to boot.We were duly entertained with the lightning show God provided with some much needed rain and the team were eager to retire to bed at around 10pm in the evening.

THURSDAY, July 24th

Today was kicked off with some spicy hash browns (Thanks to Yours Truly...), and scrambled eggs with ham. A good start to the day if I may say so myself. After breakfast was cleaned up, we worshiped and Luke Weaver spoke on "Idolatry" mostly relating to our mind sets. Luke Weaver is a good man to have on your team, and his insight into the redeeming character of God is nothing more than revelational. We have really enjoyed and appreciated Luke, Julie, Jarrett and Rayna on this team as they bring a completion to the generational aspect of our team. Alli Major gave us a short teaching on "Leadership", WOW!!! It really was neat and we enjoyed all 15 minutes of it. Afterwards, the team split into flock groups and read and discussed 1 Samuel 15. This shed much light on how "NOT" to be a King from King Saul's example.

Julie Weaver was our first speaker today. Julie taught on the whole area of comparing ourselves to others as well as being content in who God made you to be. Julie is such an example of one who walks in the identity of who God made her to be. She truly is a blessing. David Tabor was our second speaker this morning and he taught on "Motivational Gifts". He definitely had the kids in stitches several times during his talk but alot of what he had to say hit home in all of us. We are truly blessed with caliber of our staff. They really are a blessing in all they do for this team.

Lunch today was grilled cheese sandwiches and french fries. Once again, after lunch the team headed to get a power nap in before 1:30pm dance practice. Megan and Charity are steadily getting the dances completed and the team are catching on well. It's almost like an aerobic work-out with all the fast dances we have this year.

Parents, we as staff would like to commend your kids on how diligent they have been to keep their attitudes in check throughout this bootcamp. They truly are a blessing to the staff and we are so encouraged by their commitment to hunger and thirst after God and allow Him to bring change to their hearts and their mind sets. Thank you for releasing them to us for this time.

*I would ask that you be in prayer for Ashley Martinez. She dislocated her toes whilst playing barefoot in the gym today. David, Kathleen and Deb are with her at the hospital as we speak.*

The team is in practicing this evening as we will be out for half the day tomorrow. I will keep you updated on Ashley's progress as we learn more.

SATURDAY, July 26th

Before, I start with the update, I wish to thank you all for praying for Ashley Martinez. After x-rays the Doctors put her toes back in place. There was no major damage to muscle or bones too which we are grateful. We thank God that this wasn't as serious as it looked. Please continue to keep our team in your prayers.

Today was somewhat busy. After breakfast several of the staff members went to pick up vans for the duration of our outreach. After picking up vans we headed to the church and prepared for the days events. Our first stop was celebrating Lydia Tabor's 10th
at Jordan and Karen's house. Lydia's sisters, Anna and Rachel are on the team and David and Kathleen are her grandparents.

After our partying ways we got changed into our reds and departed for Area 15 in down town Charlotte. Area 15 is a christian based program that hosts an art show every weekend for local artists in the area, providing them a place to showcase their wares, as well as provide an opportunity for open discussion about God. Although we didn't have too much of a crowd we did have alot of fun for our first performance and there were a few family members visiting various kids on the team.

SUNDAY, July 27th

The team was stretched a little today. We had the performance for the church here at South Monroe Church and the worship team traveled across town to lead worship at South Point which is Jordan Tabor's home church. Breakfast was taken in two shifts as the worship team headed out early. Even though there was a little tiredness lingering from the events of the day before both teams fared well. I can honestly say that both churches were blessed. After the services lunch was served and the rest of the day was pretty low-key. To be honest low-key days are some of the best days to just chill. Many of the staff took advantage of the time given and had some much needed naps. The team spent the rest of the day in the gym because the Spanish church had use of the church facilities in the evening. We did however enjoy tonight's meal which was pork chops, mashed potatoes and beans. What a feast and what a blessing. Dinner was cleaned up and by that time the Spanish church had vacated the building so we settled in to a movie and bed.

TUESDAY, July 29th

Today, we returned to our normal routine of breakfast, teaching and dance practice. Tamara and Mary Lou did another laundry run while Geoff, Megan, Shae, Tayne and Kathy did some grocery shopping for the team. David Tabor spoke on how to give a testimony, prepping the team for the rest of outreach and dance practice took up the rest of the morning. Left overs were for lunch and the team went ahead and did their work duties before dance practice resumed.

The team although having performed twice are anticipating our next performances for the week. It will be good to be on the road but we will most definitely miss our boot camp facility and it's conveniences here at South Monroe Church.

Part of the team will head out late this afternoon to hand out flyers for our upcoming outreach in Charlotte tomorrow evening and David will head to the airport to pick up the remainder of our team, Rebecca and Erin Cooper from Montrose (YAY!!!). We have been looking forward to their coming for some time now and it will be very good to see them and have our team complete.

WEDNESDAY, July 30th

Our day started just as breakfast was over. WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP...came the call as the team was rallied to attention. A move of the Spirit brought a calling forth of the warriors to maintain their focus on the task at hand. Once again the Holy Spirit revived the teachings and life changing moments that impacted our lives early on in the bootcamp...it was time to step up and walk in the freedom and anointing as King's and Priest's.

After our time of exhortation the team sat in on Megan Ila's teaching on "Seduction". We had a time of processing what we had heard in our separate flock groups and what was shared in that time was nothing short of incredible. It seems that the team is responding to the Spirit through personal conviction and genuine hunger for God to heal and redeem their lives personally. Michael Barrow gave an awesome teaching on relationships afterwards and shared some deep insights from his own experiences. All I can say is, there is most definitely a wealth of experience, understanding and knowledge of being broken before the Lord amongst the ranks of our staff. What a blessing.

After our morning we had lunch, went about our work duties and got into our uniforms for our performance in the afternoon.

We had people from South Monroe Church, South Point and Oakhurst Baptist Church that actually hosted us in the community garden that we performed in. As was mentioned yesterday, flyers were passed out at the Vietnamese, Hispanic, Black community in the vicinity of where we performed. There were some opportunities to get into discussion with several people but one that stood out was Mary Lou Luttrells prayer time for a black christian lady who had married a Muslim. What an opportunity as we believe God to redeem her situation and bring life. Needless to say we were all glad to get home to quick showers and ultimately bed.

THURSDAY, July 31st

Today saw us perform at Jackson Park Ministries. We ministered to about 26 young people aged between 6 to 10 years old. Our time there was a whole lot of fun to say the least. The team really warmed to the kids there and got to rub shoulders abit as you will see below..

Although the kids we were ministering to had somewhat of a short attention span, their leader Jake was astounded by Kathleen's ability to restore order and warrant respect. It was rather challenging at times but God prevailed and we saw Him take joy in our performance. Michael Barrow has just put his hand up to be the next line dance choreographer as he was unexpectedly volunteered by Geoff to teach the kids a "Colorado Line Dance". He did very well and we ended our time with two more songs, and the JPM kids joined us.

We are back at the church right now getting ready for dinner. This will be our last night here and we will be celebrating Rachel Tabor's 12th Birthday. Keep praying for us if you would. The next few days will prove to be rather challenging as we spend no more than two days at each stop.

We want to take this time to recognize the efforts of Jordan and Karen Tabor. Thank you so much for all the lead up work which went into making our time in North Carolina most enjoyable. We can honestly say that because of your obedience we have seen divine appointments come to fruition as well as experiencing God's heart and delight in us as a team. We also want to thank Jordan and Karen for the extra running around they have been doing for us whilst we've been here. You both have truly been God's gift to us as family and as a team. We would also like to thank you for letting us have your girl's. You both have certainly given above and beyond and for that we are truly grateful. God's blessings upon you both and your family.

We also want to thank Pastor Rob and all the wonderful people at South Monroe Church. We can honestly say that our boot camp facility will be sorely missed. Thank you all for your sacrificial giving and also for extending God's grace in our greatest time of need. You are indeed a blessing and we pray for an abundance of blessing upon you all and for God's plan to unfold in a huge way for South Monroe Church.

Thank you also to those of you that hosted us at the various venues that we performed at. We have had an awesome time here in North Carolina and we anticipate God to bring us even greater times as we venture forth toward our destination in Washington DC.

Today started at 6:45am this morning and didn't let up until about 7:00pm this evening. The team was up early packing and cleaning. Kathleen set out early for a laundry run with a couple of the girls on the team, and breakfast was served at 7:00am. As soon as breakfast was over we split into coed teams and cleaned, mopped, vacuumed, scrubbed and packed. The church was spotless, without blemish as Jesus would have it. We really do have an impressive team, and nobody had to be asked to do anything. Their attitudes were such that thing's got done within a matter of a couple of hour's. As David pulled in with the U-Haul trailer, the boy's began to organize and pack. Parent's, thank you for doing an awesome job with your children, and be encouraged that they are stepping up to the challenge that God has set for them.

After we packed and loaded van's, it was off to Greenville, SC. We arrived around 3:00pm in the afternoon and unloaded the trailer, changed and headed to downtown Greenville.

We performed at an ampitheater just a stone's throw from this waterfall. The team worshiped God wholeheartedly in both performances today as God began to spur them to get a heart for their nation.

After a long day of packing, traveling and dancing the team was rewarded once again with dinner at "Golden Corral". The staff were just as relieved as the team, if not more that we didn't have to cook and do dishes. After dinner we went back to the christian school we are staying at and had shower's and went to bed early.

SATURDAY, August 2nd

Today was steaming hot. Two performances at the Piazza Bergamo in downtown Greenville, in 102 degree weather and a lot of humidity was cause for some very, very, thirsty and exhausted young people, not to mention the staff. The team once again passed with flying colours and were rewarded with an awesome lunch at a cafe owned by a neat christian lady. As is with all other outreaches in the past, God continue's to minister through our unity and interaction as a team. Our positive attitudes go a long way to reinforce the ministry of the Holy Spirit to those that are passing by. I can't say that we have had great crowds or any for that matter but people have noticed us and we can only keep doing what we're doing with the knowledge that, after all that's said and done we still are the "Audience of One".

Greenville, SC would have to be by far one of the prettiest cities I've been to in my travel's with Ao1. After our performance's we headed back to church for abit of a rest, changed and went back to downtown Greenville to explore. Taco Bell was our designated eatery this evening and then it was home to shower's and bed.

SUNDAY, August 3rd

Once again it was up early, pack bag's and bedding, store them away, breakfast and clean bathroom's as well as get changed into Sunday church attire. As church did not start until 10:45am, we decided to have a worship time at Fall Park. It's been a while since we had worship and today was rather refreshing to go before the Lord in worship. We kind of lost our way (or should I say David lost his way and we followed...<smile>) on our return to the church but we did end at our point of destination.

After church we walked back to the building where we are staying and had lunch. Megan then took some time to finish the much awaited International song. This afternoon was a choice between staying home and watching "Nacho Libre" or going to Walmart to shop. After dinner tonight we are going to watch some video footage of some of our performances and go to bed early.

Another day of moving caught up with us as we arose early to clean and pack. After, our cleaning and getting bags loaded onto the trailer we set off for Charlotte to enjoy some much needed R&R at a water park.

Unfortunately, we have no other picture footage as the team decided to leave their camera's in the vans but I'm sure Tayne, Jarrett and Shae will suffice as they give you an idea of the fun we had below.

After Carowinds, it was off to McDonald's for dinner. Luke Weaver flew back in from Denver after attending a wedding over the weekend so one of the van's picked him up while the other two departed for Elon, NC. We arrived in Elon at around 9:30pm at John and Lisa Patterson's residence. John and Lisa were at one time resident's in Montrose and it was good to see them again. After unpacking bags we all got settled and went to bed.

Our time in Greensboro, NC

We enjoyed two performances today. Our first was in downtown Greensboro where God opened neat opportunities to share with the locals. And our second performance was in nearby Burlington where we performed at a 1A baseball stadium before the game.

I realize that my report's are coming in two day's at a time and I send my sincerest apologies'. As was requested earlier,we are in need of prayer, mostly for strength to endure being at each of our destination's for two day's at a time and moving on. I guess you could say we're "roughing it", but the constant moving in short interval's is taking its toll and that reflect's in the general attitude of the team.

However, you will be happy to know parent's that your children are stepping up to the plate and meeting what God is requiring of them. As we are anticipating "The Call" in Washington DC, God Himself is preparing each of us, kid's and staff alike, daily. He is highlighting specific areas in each of our lives that this nation as a whole struggles with, mindlessness, a religious spirit, worldly sorrow, pride, self preservation and that's just to name a few. Parent's, praying for this nation is as much your responsibility as your children's. PLEASE PRAY!!! Pray that God continue's preparing the heart's of this team so that when we reach DC we are ready. Pray that our time in Washington DC would not be just another experience but that it would move your children to a place where they start to walk radically in the call of God upon their lives, as they themselves take ownership of and validate that call.

This is an exciting time and the word that these young people are receiving is "THE TIME IS NOW"!!! Tomorrow is another early day as we set out for Raleigh, NC. I will try to keep you up to date on a day to day basis as much as possible.

WEDNESDAY, August 6th

Today proved to be our busiest day yet. We started at 6:30am and didn't let up until around 9:30pm. On our way out of Elon we ministered to an inner city church in Burlington. After our performance it was back in the van's and off to Raleigh. We arrived right before lunch at Salvation Army Day Camp and did two performances. We stayed at the Salvation Army facility and had lunch.

After lunch we headed to the State Capitol for a worship and prayer time. As we got there we found out that our designated time had run it's course and we no longer were able to worship. The policeman on duty informed us that we needed an extension and that we would not be able to worship until we had an extension on our time permit. Mary McLaurin appealed on our behalf and the policeman came back only to inform us that we were invited to worship and pray for forty five minutes. God truly is awesome.

We headed to our accommodation's at White Plains Methodist Church and unloaded the vans. Luke and the laundry and kitchen ladies got busy with laundry runs and grocery shopping while the rest of the team did another performance at the Glenaire Retirement Center. We performed our International song in full regalia for the first time since outreach began and it was fun to see the different cultures represented. After our performance we headed to a Food Court at a big mall near where we are staying and the team got to pick what they wanted for dinner. After dinner we headed to the church. David and all the girl's and ladies took a trip to the YMCA for shower's while Megan, Jamie and Shae stayed at the church with the boys for bag and hose showers.

We had alot of fun today performing. Our last performance was a dinner here at White Plains Methodist Church with the Local King's Kids team called Cross Waves headed up by Mary McLaurin who was an awesome host along with Lorrinda Janik the lady who arranged for us to stay at this church. Our time this evening was precious as we really just ministered to the Lord.

FRIDAY, August 8th

Our trip to Virginia was pretty uneventful but we were in high spirits and the kid's were hyped after a successful time of ministry in Raleigh. We are so grateful for our wonderful host's Mary and Lorrinda. Kelsey Johnson was especially excited as we drove into her church "River of Life" Assemblies of God Church. We quickly got settled and made preparations for our first performance at the Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter.

After our performance we were led by Randy Johnson (Kelsey's dad) on a half hour drive, which seemed like four as stomach's began to grumble, to the Johnson household. We were welcomed by Kelsey's family and were fed to a feast of baked chicken and potatoes, corn and ice cream to top it off.

SATURDAY, August 9th

As we were late to bed last night, an executive decision was made and we decided to forego our performance at the park and sleep in. We awoke to a cereal breakfast with bagels and got ready for our time at New Life Ranch. New Life Ranch is a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol abuser's as well as addicts just trying to get back on their feet.

It seems that as we venture more into our outreach the presence of the Lord gets heavier. We had a pizza lunch courtesy of one of the staff members and got prepared for our performance. As we got into our program the Holy Spirit fell powerfully. We ministered to about thirty to forty men all in their twenty's, thirty's and forty's, some even older. Many on the team shared some deep, deep thing's that God was doing in their lives with regard to their fatherlessness which gave way for the Holy Spirit to bring some deep, deep conviction to the men we were ministering to. A lot of the men we were ministering to had families and children that they had abandoned because of their various addictions and there was such an awesome response to God as we ended our time in worship singing "Amazing Grace" together with them. (Parent's please ask your children what they experienced in this time because they were personally ministered to through what God was doing in the men's lives. It really was a powerful time of ministry.)

We got back to the church pretty tired but in good spirit's and after getting cleaned up with shower's we headed to "Cracker Barrel" for an awesome dinner and a fun time of fellowship.

SUNDAY, August 10th

Sunday morning had all the makings of being frantic and out of control as we were to be out of the church at 8:30am but again the maturity of the team shone through. We packed and cleaned and put our bags in storage all in the space of an hour and a half. After getting ready we headed to the nearest Walmart and had breakfast in the parking lot.

We witnessed first hand God's anointing upon the team as our testimonies were once again used of the Holy Spirit in our performance at Mars Hill. God is using this team in a mighty way to bring deep conviction to the father's in this nation. He is working specifically in the area of stepping up and being the father's God intended them to be. It really has been humbling seeing God move through us. One thing that we are learning as a team is that it isn't us but God that is initiating our brokenness and using it for His glory. "GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME"!!!

MONDAY, August 11th

We welcomed another day off as we took the morning to finish up our time with processing issues that the Holy Spirit had brought conviction in. Lunch consisted of sandwiches and ice water. We piled into our vans and headed for downtown Fredericksburg. Some of us took the time to go to the Battle Field Memorial while the rest of us took in the sights of Fredericksburg town.

I would show you photo's of the mall that we spent the rest of the afternoon in but I figure if you've seen one you've seen them all so I guess not. The team returned to a foreign meal that Megan and I prepared for dinner. Bully beef and rice with sweet plantains and spinach cooked in coconut juice. Probably the best meal we've had by far on this outreach. All I can say is it was about time. Tomorrow we head to Washington DC. We will have breakfast at 8am and start packing cleaning and loading. We will try to head out around 10:00am or 10:30am.

PRAYER ALERT!!!

We would ask that you pray for us in these areas:

1) That we continue to experience safe travel as we venture forth to Washington DC tomorrow.
2) For God to release the remainding $ 6,000.00 of outreach fees that we need to see come in, in order to see this outreach to the end.
3) "The Call" that things would work out logistically for us as a team and that we would truly seek and know God's heart for this nation as well as come away from that time knowing where our responsibilities lie after this event. Also for God's grace in our times of fasting and praying for this nation.
4) For God to give us wisdom and favor as we work out logistics for returning our vans to Charlotte.
5) Pray for the people responsible for setting up our itinerary in DC and that our time there would be a blessing.
6) Pray for God to prepare the hearts of parents and siblings alike as each of the young people return to their respective homes. That there would be neat times of sharing their experiences as well as standards being upheld so that what God has established over the outreach will be built upon.

7) For those of you that know about David Tabor's ulcers on his left foot, to keep praying for healing and also Geoff Ila pulling a muscle in his left calf today.

Thank you all for your support and prayers thus far. You are all truly appreciated. Until tomorow, BLESSINGS!!!

TUESDAY, August 12th

We started our day with breakfast at 8:00am. After breakfast it was business as usual as the team cleaned. If your child did not know what a broom or mop was before this outreach, he or she know now. Father's, if your daughter's did not know how to take showers in under 45 seconds or less, they know now. It has really been a blessing seeing these young people step up and take responsibility. They may not be complete angel's but they do their best.

Kathleen is going to do a teaching time this morning before we leave so we anticipate what the Lord has for us. I guess I'll talk to you after we get to DC.

Washington DC

The drive to DC was short but we were pretty tired nonetheless. We arrived at Urban Outreach, Washington DC and were welcomed by Will Stroman and Calvin a staff member of the ministry. We are in South East DC in a pretty rough area. After abit of an orientation time a van load of staff went to get chicken and "Mumbo" sauce for dinner. The rest of us got to work sweeping and mopping stairwells in two sets of apartments, cleaning around the apartments, and stuffing bags for their ministry.

The chicken and "Mumbo" sauce proved to be a hit. After dinner we had worship time in the parking lot and God began to affirm the team. Shower's and bed were right after as we settled in for the night.

WEDNESDAY, August 13th

Today was a work day as the team split into their respective flock groups and we got about our chores. Lunch was definitely a welcome sight, and afterwards Kathleen taught on the area of the Mason's while the babies were put down for naps. I know the staff here at Urban Outreach were pretty blown away by the work ethic of these young people. They went the extra mile and then some. Here's a preview of what they did.

After our spaghetti dinner we were given a wonderful surprise as Mr. Taylor Perez arrived unexpectedly. Lukas and Jordan were beside themselves and it was fun to watch their reactions when there dad turned up. There was an attempt to get to bed early but as I mentioned it was only an attempt.

THURSDAY, August 14th

Today we set off for the nations Capitol. As we split up in our groups we got to take in most of the sight's such as the White House, the Air and Space Museum, the Library of Congress, the History Museum, State Capitol, Washington Monument and several others. God spoke specifically to young Daniel Lewko as He reminded Daniel that we as son's and daughter's of the most High God were also "World Changers" and "History Makers". Some of the team walked prophetically as they worshiped and voted Jesus as the Lord and King of America just outside the House of Representatives.

We returned to Urban Outreach rather soggy after being drenched by a slight rainstorm on the way back to the vans from the sight seeing. As we arrived, Calvin our good friend was cooking burgers on the Bar-B while we changed out of our wet clothes into our dry clothes. We had another neat time of ministry right before our performance tonight as the young people repented of some thing's God had shown them. We also saw several sets of siblings apologise to eachother and repent for the misgivings they have had toward eachother. The performance went well as we came to the realization that this might be the last time we perform on the outreach.

Washington DC
Performance

There is much anticipation for "The Call" yet in alot of way's God has led the team through a process of intercession that has required each individual to contend for their victory in the various stronghold's that they battle. Not only are these stronghold's personal but they are also part and parcel of what their generation battle with and ultimately what this nation battle's with as a whole. God revealed in our time of repentance earlier tonight that there is a lack of true accountability amongst the young people and their peer's. Parent's don't let the opportunities pass that God brings to call your children to account. Their very lives depend on it.

FRIDAY, August 15th

After an intimate worship time with the Lord Kathleen started our debriefing process. This is a time where the young people are given instruction on how to transition back into their lives when they get home. On these outreaches major changes take place not only in their faith but also in their mindsets, hence the need for debriefing. Our debriefing time also consists of writing reports on the performance or should I say the role the leaders played in each of the young peoples lives throughout the outreach. Flock group leader's also get to hand in report's on each of their flock member's. We also like to take a consensus from the young people about how the outreach went logistically.

We had another welcomed surprise as John and Gayle Strantz came in with Taylor Perez during our lunch break. John and Gayle are family and serve on the board of SRFM. After lunch those that were fourteen years old and above set off with Luke, Julie and yours truly to the pre-Call events hosted at a local church about a half hour away. Senator Mike Huckabee was a speaker at the Pastor's and Leader's pre-event which was enjoyed by our older crew of Grandma Lou, Deb, John, Gayle and Taylor. The rest of us opted for the Fore Runner pre-event experiencing an awesome worship time and a rousing message from the founder of Teen Mania Ron Luce.

We returned to Urban Outreach to find all the thirteen year olds and younger making preparations for our love feast. Our love feast tonight was awesome as we dined on burrito's. David Tabor once again gave the charge, speaking out of Joshua and how he (Joshua) led his small army to defeat Jericho. We ensued with a very meaningful time of communion, partaking of His flesh and blood.

Parent's all I can say is "PRAY PRAY PRAY"!!! Tomorrow is a much anticipated day and you can feel and see the excitement from the kids. There may not be time to give you an update tomorrow as we will be home late.

SATURDAY, August 16th "The Call"

The Call

WOW!!! What a day here on earth and in the heavenlies!!! There was much repentance, crying out to God for mercy, reconciliation, worship, more repentance, proclamation, worship, tearing down of strongholds, even more repentance, prostrate before the Lord, declaration and more and more repentance. This event was definitely the finale we expected, right before the end of outreach. All that we encountered and walked in victory over throughout this outreach was summed up in this very day. Mr. Lou Engle is a pretty gutsy man of God not to mention bold. It is an awesome sight when a man or woman of God walks in the anointing God places over them and just tells it straight. For those of you watching at home this is without a doubt a memorable event as all the generations gathered to humble themselves and seek God's face repent and pray for the nation of America.

The CallThe Call

For some of us, we just spent the whole day weeping before God as He revealed just how broken His heart is over this nation. As a foreigner I was blessed to see this generation rise to the occasion and cry out to God of their own accord. There was no prompting from parents or adults but just a wholehearted genuine response to God.

The Call

I can't really describe our day because you really had to be there to truly know what God did. The presence of God was heavy from the time we arrived up to and until the time we departed. Thank you, thank you for your prayer's and for your support.

Parent's a heart felt thank you for entrusting your children to us this summer. This has been an awesome and complete outreach. Each one of these young people brought a certain dynamic with them which completed our team and allowed God to move with great power. Your children have much to share as they have gained so much from their experiences. We also want to thank each of our host's in each specific location for your hard work and sacrifice.

This will be my last update for the outreach. I hope you have enjoyed the updates as much as I have thoroughly enjoyed doing them.

God's sign
Could this be a sign of His power and mercy over America???

Father God, thank You for your protection and Your faithfulness to us as a team. Thank You for orchestrating and marking each step that was taken to reach this day. We give You all glory, all honour, and all praise for what You have done and what You are doing. We also give You thanks in advance for what You are about to do. Father continue to bless us and continue to mark our path as we return to our respective home's in North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Florida and Colorado.

I also ask that You pour out Your Spirit over this nation. Hear the cry of Your people and bring Your deliverance once again. There is a genuine heart's cry of desperation for You to move Your hand over this nation and bring true revival. Father, let this day be a day where heaven was moved. Let the power's and principality's that have taken up residence in this nation be served with a notice of eviction in Jesus name.

You truly are an awesome God! And we bow before You in reverence and declare You King and Lord over these United States of America!!!

Amen
